Being LGBTQ+ Inclusive In the Modern Workplace: Why ‘Caring’ Isn’t Enough

In the podcast Being LGBTQ+ Inclusive in the Modern Workplace, Vessy Tasheva emphasizes that “simply caring about LGBTQ employees is not enough to create a truly inclusive workplace culture.”  Vessy suggested creating policies and practical strategies that are most supportive while providing educational resources.  Vessy later discussed her own experiences and the hardships she faced as a queer woman, while addressing that individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community come from different backgrounds and face different issues associated to those backgrounds.  The insightful personal information that was shared by the speakers demonstrates the need to create a more inclusive atmosphere within the workplace.
