One of the main arguments against CRT is that it creates divisiveness. In other words, by naming and addressing systemic racism, proponents of CRT are creating a divide in society. Crenshaw uses the analogy of asbestos in buildings to challenge this line of thinking. Do you find this analogy helpful to understanding and being able to discuss the topic of CRT and racism with people of differing viewpoints? Why or why not?
